Enhancing the IMDb project is what the title is and the project is about re-touching how the IMDb website looks, in regards to the homepage and another page within IMDb.
When looking at the data of our test, cards and evaluation; it was clear that the IMDb website is not necessarily beginner-friendly to people who are new to the website. One would either need prior knowledge of the site itself or having some knowledge of technology in general. The main problem of the site was how cluttered it looked and how many other distracting obstacles that were in the way of successfully going to where a user wanted/needed to be or just by glancing over the site. However, the search function of the IMDb site was preferable over the hamburger menu the site provided as well as the popularity of a movie will make it easier to locate in addition to that.
The design decisions overall was to make IMDb more user-friendly for first time users for the site. IMDb itself is okay for now, but how much information that can overwhelm someone new or regularly visiting the site.
If I had more time with this project, the next steps I would do is to add a bit more detail into what was already made; adding in more details but not so overwhelming/distracting to users than what it already has. IMDb has competitors that are somewhat better in that department in what testing has shown us, so it is best to still give it the same feel as before; albeit with more space to comprehend the site in general as well.
